A Marathon for a great cause

Good mate collapsed at mile 23 yesterday and spent the night in hospital. Heā€™s fit as a flea too, and has marathonā€™d previously. Heā€™s ok again this morning

Savage achievement to finish one of those things

Iā€™d say itā€™s all the lazy fucks stuck to the couch for two years. The WFH brigade.

Most of the entries were made after 2019 as well

Was it much warmer than previous years? Keep hearing about the carnage there from people who did it.

Do you work in a lemonade stand?

15 degrees on the 30th of October sure! Ridiculously warm for the time of year

The starting line is a marathon is no place to be if youā€™re carrying any niggle or bugs. You need to be in the full of your health.

I donā€™t know how they do it.

It was warm. The arm warmers came off in mile 3.

So the IFA are to blame

Lads buying four pairs of running shoes a year that were made in Asia and flown around the world for them are the problem

I think it was the humidity more than anything. It felt much harder than it should have even before 10k. I thought Iā€™d be comfortable until 25k minimum but 3 hour pacers caught me at 18k and I was goosed.

I ran the last 11k with one of my friends from SBR and he was texting last night saying one of the girls collapsed at 25 miles alright so must be same girl. Sheā€™s OK anyway thankfully.
