Poynter are fairly decent when it comes to non biased fact checking.
Would you prefer a Hamas or Israeli media source?
All the evidence suggests Hamas killled or kidnapped every Jew they encountered on October 7th, why would they spare the easiest target they encountered, a field of young unarmed Jews (and other infidels)?
Hamas only exist as a player because of Arafat and the corruption of the plo, not Israeli aggression. Hamas provided the people of Gaza education, health and social structure whilst the plo crowd lived in gated mansions shouting about Israel.
Itâs like any populist movement- SF rise in Ireland for example. Corrupt governments telling ordinary people itâs raining whilst having their wieners out leads to extremism. The Israelis are innocent enough when it comes to the rise of Hamas influence imo
Northern Ireland is a pretty good example in this Israel - Hamas conflict.
If you want to really dampen tensions you must bring both parties to the table and offer the Palestinians a proper rule of internal law.
Although the Brits funded the Loyalist sectarianism they along with Dublin brokered negotiations and offered both parties a chance to exist politically.
"Listen to former Israeli officials such as Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, who was the Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s. Segev later told a New York Times reporter that he had helped finance the Palestinian Islamist movement as a âcounterweightâ to the secularists and leftists of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Fatah party, led by Yasser Arafat (who himself referred to Hamas as âa creature of Israel.â)
âThe Israeli government gave me a budget,â the retired brigadier general confessed, âand the military government gives to the mosques.â
âHamas, to my great regret, is Israelâs creation,â Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official who worked in Gaza for more than two decades, told the Wall Street Journal in 2009. Back in the mid-1980s, Cohen even wrote an official report to his superiors warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing Palestinian Islamists against Palestinian secularists. âI ⌠suggest focusing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face,â he wrote."
They created the conditions in Northern Ireland in which the outbreak of violence was very likely.
They werenât directly responsible for the bombs but they were responsible for the decades of discrimination faced by Catholics which led to a minority of Catholics believing that bombs were the answer. So in that respect they bear some responsibility.
The oppression faced by Palestinians is far greater than that faced by NI Catholics.
One of the grimly hilarious aspects of pro-Israel propaganda over the last few weeks has been the attempt to downplay how bad the Nazis were in order to try and make out that Hamas are worse.
What the fuck is going on?
How the fuck are we seeing the alliance of Israel with nuts like Douglas Murray who are sneaking regarders for the Nazis, and the repeating by Israel itself of Murrayâs âthe Nazis werenât that bad, reallyâ horseshit? This is a form of Holocaust denial.
You have a point, but it appears that Security forces were absent from area whilst also happy to let a festival go ahead along the border also.
I think lads are making a valid point also that Israel draw aggression upon themselves too.
You only have to look at how the Zionist killed their own PM for trying to broker a peace deal with the PLO & their ARAB neighbours.
There are many in Israel quite happy with current impasse and want Gaza levelled and all itâs inhabitants levelled too or moved out.
Israel as a nation are territory hungry and have been since day one when they began building settlements on Foreign ground.
If stories are to be believed then Zionist sections of Israel public life were quite happy to find Hamas early doors to dampen PLO support.
