They are happy to engage in careless behaviour that creates babies but then not deal with consequences of their behaviour. What they do to those unwanted babies is beyond disgusting and should carry a custodial sentence.
There are no consequences up until the 16th week of pregnancy at the absolute earliest because the foetus doesnât feel anything. How can there be consequences if no-one feels anything? Makes no sense.
Those babies were clearly wanted and loved from the moment their existence was known, the situation you describe is all I know as well but it doesnât make it the same for everybody,
Iâd never suggest a healthy woman should abort a healthy baby but Iâd feel stronger that a rape victim or a woman carrying a baby that canât live outside the womb shouldnât have the option to, thatâs one of the things weâre voting on, very few will be 100% happy either way
Before I was 1 and a half years old, an image of me playing with a red tractor on red stairs. What were my parents at letting me play on the stairs? We moved house then when I was 1 and a half but I can remember the red stairs in the old house.
Before I was 1 and a half I assume I felt pain, was conscious, had emotional reactions etc even if I canât remember it.
But sure if you canât remember anything before the age of 1 and you assume you could feel pain before that, then how do you know what a 16 week foetus can feel or not feel?
Iâm planning on abstaining from the vote, but I have a feeling the smug righteousness of the Repeal âmovementâ will end up pushing me to vote no out of spite.
Ah here. Thatâs one of the most idiotic fucking things Iâve read in a long while. Ask any of the wonderful fathers here if their significant others miscarried before the 16th week and whether or not there were consequences. Ditto for abortions. Thereâs a reason women are offered counselling after an abortion - itâs because there are consequences. Very real consequences.
16th week? Ffs, women can often feel foetal movements by week 13.
