After brexit and trump how do pollsters still have jobs. Youd have to guess that favours the silent no voters, or many wonāt bother voting
Itās the abortion version of the Bradley effect
I reckon it will go no. There has been a serious uplift in the propaganda in the last week. The āgovernment bookletā the no side released and serious increase in posters and people on the ground. āwinningā the debate on Clair Byrne etc.
Plus I reckon there are a heap of people voting no who are āundecidedā for fear of actually saying what the believe because theyāll be shouted down.
Its a pity people are shouted down for making a personal decision.
Surely that cuts both ways though? There will be a lot of silent yes voters in more rural areas. Women from all 26 counties have been forced to go abroad for abortions, itās not just an urban phenomenon.
It is, women should have that choice themselvesā¦
And the unborn kids that get killed, they cant shout back i suppose
Maybe so, but Iād reckon it would still favour the no. Keep things as they are, why change etc. P
dont, just dont!
Thats what i thought as well. Starting to think hes on the wind up. I tried the reasonableness approach it didnāt work so I will leave this thread.
You went there first bro
You say associated with here. You said it was grounded in Catholic heritage previously which is where I commented. It is you have shifted the goalposts
You said yesterday you didnāt support abortion on demand where no risk after 12 weeks, ie you do believe in some protection for unborn children, ie the church law you today decried as bad law. Can you not see the contradiction?
Iām on record all through as saying itāll be 50-49. Couldnāt call it at this stage.
Sean OāRourkeās performance on a debate this morning was an absolute disgrace. Katie Ascough spouted a torrent of lies including the guff about foetuses being able to yawn and the supposed āregretā women feel after abortion, and OāRourke didnāt pull her up on one.
Pat Kenny, to be fair, has been a lot better during this campaign than OāRourke, who has been fucking woeful all through it.
Kenny destroyed Ascough when she was on his programme last month. Sheās an absolute bullshitter who only has pre-prepared lines and canāt think when challenged. OāRourke was prepared to allow her shout them (and that was her tone of voice) without interruption. Shocking moderation.
So you are fine if its associated with, but abhor if its grounded inā¦ Thats just splitting hairs based on language
Your whole argument is splitting hairs based on language. You attributed my willingness to abort an 8.5 month old baby from an incorrect intepretation of my comments.
You said yesterday that the 8th is grounded in catholic heritage. Today itās only associated with itm if you cant see the difference youāre at nothing
Isnāt OāRourkeās son involved with the Iona crowd?
I didnāt incorrectly interpret them, i went 8.5 months to illustrate the contradiction whereby yesterday you didnāt support abortion on demand past a certain date. I dont see a huge difference in saying something is grounded in or associated with in this case
Find where I said I support abortion on demand.
