Declan Lynch had a theory that nowadays, the people in record companies responsible for spotting new talent should have been advertising executives, while advertising executives should have been working for record companies trying to spot new talent.
This is because record companies now tend to give contracts to artists who are shit, while genuinely good music now tends to get its big break through ads.
In a similar manner, satire websites tend to be much more effective campaigners for political causes than political campaigns themselves, while political campaigns end up as unintended satire.
That has certainly been the case with the No campaign in this referendum.

Jeremy Hopkiss is over for the referendum and he’s very confident that it will.
Thats a very reasoned and mature post. However Oireland is miles behind other developed countries in its thinking. The reality is if you offer access to something in oireland that was previously labelled ‘denied’ you will have a queue forming very quickly to try out this offering, especially in the current ‘im entitlement to it’ environment. Lifestyle abortion will be popular over the next 10 years, no point thinking otherwise. Education will take a generation. We will still need to target it though, make it uncool and something that you should be ashamed of. id also limit each woman to one extermination only and a register kept.
Im still hopeful of a No vote though.

Satire has always been about delivering a message.
Mallow News has been posting some decent satire and then just some pure campaigning on one issue for weeks now.
Anyway, as I said, the person (s) can do what they want with it, just an observation.
Shows how out of touch with reality you are. Other posters have made similar comments, can someone tag them please.
Why bother.
How would you make it uncool?
Would you have a “Just Say No” campaign with leading celebrities like Jim Corr, Kieran Bergin and Fr. Neil Horan telling the young people “Abortion is not cool”?
In a similar fashion to how smoking 'bines is now frowned upon.
To score points and laugh at them.
