Abortion - Yay or Nay? Labane and Sid talk American politics, Codegreen ponders on the cost

Breastfeeding and carrying a foetus are both entirely dependent on a woman’s body.

The law doesn’t force women to breastfeed, so why should it force them to carry a foetus?

Voting no wont stop abortion - abortion is here and is not going away. We are voting on whether we want to give Irish women a safe and supportive environment to carry out the procedure or whether we want them to continue to travel in fear and in isolation and with shame.

Is this it? This is what you are reduced to?:rofl:

I’m sure if we went looking we could find an article about some women that committed suicide as a result of not being allowed get an abortion — and on we go

You are voting on whether you want to deny unborn children the right to live.

Dress it up anyway you want but it will always mean that. People need to start dealing with consequences than running away from them. Abortion encourages nefarious actions.

The figure show abortion is here and is staying here no matter what way the vote goes .

You said something along the lines of a baby/foetus not being alive until it was physically born last night?

What figure?

20 weeks and after, mate — anything before that cant’ be called a ‘person’ as it cant survive independently.

Ya you keep your rolly eyed emoji for any mother who suffers a miscarriage after carrying her child for 4-5 months pal.

Do you think Irish women don’t have abortions?

They do. They just have to travel to a foreign land.

You’ve no problem denying young boys who happen to be on the same boat as a member of the royal family the right the live.

Spare us your hypocrisy.

What the fuck are you on about? That has nothing to do with anything - neither do stupid arguments about life support machines. Should I retort with - Go tell a woman who is suicidal because she cant have an abortion to ‘shut up get on with it’ — Stupid, childish arguments.

You refuse to acknowledge that abortion is already here. It’s not going away no matter what way the vote goes - Abortion is here and is here to stay forever. The question is whether we offer a care of duty to our women or not… And I think it’s great that you as a man want to deny them this care and would have them slink off to another country to do it. That’s really great manly stuff there.

There won’t be a Down Syndrome child in oireland inside 15 years. That’s what will happen.

Whatever number heading abroad to kill babies well multiply that by 10 within a few years of supplying this solution on their doorstep.

Ridiculous comment & a sign of a beaten docket resorting to it.

If I threw a video of a 20 week abortion on here before breakfast you would say the exact same thing I bet? Because you wish to know nothing more afterwards and I suppose the physical procedure of an abortion is irrelevant too? See how much care and compassion you and @ChocolateMice feel then.

I’d probably feel queasy watching a liver transplant or a number of other medical procedures — should we out law all those too?

As I thought, that’s the care and compassion myth busted with you at least.
