Abortion - Yay or Nay? Labane and Sid talk American politics, Codegreen ponders on the cost

Whatever about the rights or wrongs, it’s incredibly sad to think over 3000 Irish women carried out abortions in a given year. Worse still that they had to travel abroad for it. Something not right there in a lot of elements of that. And I wouldn’t be anti abortion for the most part and don’t know how I would vote.

They’re less likely to have abortions if they have to travel to foreign lands.

What?

It’s almost like you’re not reading any of my posts and just posting up bizarre arguments with very little thought put into them…

Anyway, i’m done. I’ve laid out my stall for all to read. Abortions are a very sad and tragic reality of life and are going no where. You can vote no and stick your head in the sand but thousands of Irish women will be having an abortion this year, next year and every year after that… and that’s not an insult, that’s just a fact of life.

Do not read this.

Do you think women would get an abortion for fun?

It speaks badly that 3000 Irish women decided to deny the right to live because they were unhappy with results of their actions.

Its quite simple, if you don’t want children, don’t have sex. If you have sex, then show some maturity and raise the child up or allow foster parents the chance to bring the child up in a loving home.

I think they would get it for lifestyle convenience.

Sticking my head in the sand says the man comparing an abortion procedure to a liver operation,oh dear. Ive 12 hrs of shit to get through.

Rapes, abuse, severe physical health problems for foetus that will lead to death or very short life of child. Severe mental and physical health problems for the mother that may lead to loss of life…

It’s very telling that lads on here associate abortion with what they deem to be loose or immoral women and one night stands and at the same time dont call the men who got them pregnant into question at all. Most of these lads clearly have mammy or women issues. Very telling indeed that they cant see beyond controlling women. It’s even more telling again that abortion is actually happening every day and they pretend that it’s not. It’s like these men are not living in reality at all at all. Very, very telling.

It’s a medical procedure, yes - and both can save a life.

Abortions for some, miniature Irish flags for everyone

The majority of abortions are down to the mother and father of the unborn baby not wanting to face up with the consequences of having sex. Responsibility and accountability. Babies should be some sort of novelty you can decide whether or not you want to keep it.

Criminal law should that to be properly imposed on those who go abroad to terminate pregnancies. It’s disgusting.

Abortion kills a life before it even begins.

Half truth but continue.

Did Jean McConville have a right to life, mate? Your heroes Il Bomber and Nembo supported her termination, where do you stand on the issue?

She showed scant regard for her own life when she was under threat for informing and she continued to do something.

You’d call that whataboutery but I’m not afraid to address matters.

Did she have a right to life?

Now that has fuck all to do with this topic, stop breaking your own rules at every turn pal.

There were criminal laws in place for those who killed her.
