Advice on living in Dublin (ie. don't)
My brother lives in Lucan and is pretty happy there. Close access to the M50, GAA clubs & the Phoenix Park.

If you have a trade, you should look at buying a House to rebuild i would have thought?
your brother sounds like a horrible cunt,
why does he want to be close to the fucking Phoenix Park, does he have sex with young boys or hang our with homeless people and set them on fire?

Does your sister hang out around the Park too?

Ask your brother.

It’s hard enough to rent at the minute Kev without restricting yourself to less than 5% of the market
I’ve seen it all before Julio. People just put that down as it’s just a hassle avoider in most people’s minds. But with a lot of them all you have to do is discuss it and if you think you need to sweeten it with a pet bond then do that.

Me and the missus were close to going for a place in Bohernabreena/Glenasmole Valley. Nice big house, with lots of space, I wanted to get a dog, and it’s not far from civilisation and would be a handy enough drive into town. We’ve no car at the minute though so it was ruled out. Would consider it in the future. As Fagan said, Dublin has sea and mountains and you should take advantage of one or the other.

@Julio Geordio Ringsend is a great spot-never any trouble from any of those flats. Real old school Dub salt of the earth types all over Ringsend.
My point was more that Ringsend is about 5 mins walk from some of the most expensive houses in Dublin.

It is a shithole, the old Dub’s might be salt of the earth, but their offspring are scum of the earth

Hope it works out Kev but landlords are very choosey at the minute, a mate of mine had awful hassle getting a gaff because he is a student even though he had bank statements showing the money he had saved to go back to college etc.

Also how much will it cost you to get the dog home? I heard a funny story lately about two spastics bringing a cat home from South Korea and it cost them 2k

I heard the takeaways are fierce expensive over there alright.

It’s a cat, not a dog. Please get your racial stereotypes correct

His weight x 12 euro or something. Again another thing blown out of all proportion.

What weight is he?

I’d highly recommend Liffey Valley @caoimhaoin

Seriously though… Lucan will break your spirit. A bland existence.

The dogs are going to cause you major problems.

Fairview and Whitehall are lovely parts of the world. Collins Avenue and Griffith Avenue are 2 of the best addresses in Dublin.

Whats that Pub on the East wall called?

Anywhere cheap. There’s scum everywhere. e.g.

Howth: @Fagan ODowd
In and around Ranelagh area: @Bandage
Greater D4 Area: @croppy_boy @Scrunchie

Pot luck Kev depends on the set up you are looking for.

Seabank House? There was an armed raid there after the AI final. It’s not the worst spot, though I’d go up to the Strand if I was going for a pint.

Actually, best thing about living in my place. €7.50 lunch special in Da Mimmo for bruschetta and any pizza. Insane stuff. You could go on the scratcher and eat like a king.

Is the Strand still open? I heard NAMA closed it down, the last few times I’ve drove by it was shut.
