Ronan Finn is on the verge of signing for Shamrock Rovers for a second time. The Dundalk side is breaking up a bit more than I expected.

Rovers are destined for a return to the glorious 1960s.
Might have to look into that! Although I can’t see a fixture list anywhere online?
most of them will be in Bray by March
irony is after such a great season they are still unseeded in the CL draw for next season
a draw against Mac TA would have seen them seeded, its a blow really
only thing is tho for the europa league next year, the loosers of the second CL qualifying rounds play off against each other for Europa league spots
say this year if HF beat them in iceland in the 2nd round it would have been all over, next season if that happens they still go into a europa league playoff
the Finn move is a suprise, maybe Kenny told him he has no guarantee of first team football
the dundalk in /outs will be interesting to compile as the break goes on ( the longest break between seasons in europe BTW)
so far out: horgan- boyle-finn
in : sean hoare (pats)
the rest are all out of contract i know tho that Macilhenny and Sava signed back
Rovers are more building from the bottom up with a seriously impressive youth structure, Macphail and Duff are serious operators and Stephen Bradley is a great man to have
I see also Rovers also signed a canadian keeper this week who used to play with Hapoel Ramat Gan in the israeli second league
Finn is a quality player - I doubt Kenny would regard him as squad player, especially with the other departures. Gannon is apparently set to leave too. Talk from my Dundalk sources is certain players are asking for a generous share of the revenues generated this year as part of the contract renewal process but the club is sticking to its budgets and plans in a prudent fashion.
That Rovers keeper signing struck me as odd. He’s been a nomad for his entire career and generally a back up one too.
You’d wonder where Rovers are getting the money from for all of this, I’d hate to see history repeat itself. I’m very surprised that they are in a position financially to lure Finn away from Dundalk.
interesting and yes it was a bizarre signing
can only imagine when they played RoPS in the Europa back in august they must have come in contact with him in Finland…
the fact that Bray were able to convince Connolly to stay is telling also
Maybe Dundalk just dont want to spend, mind you i thought Connolly would be a great signing for them , im suprised they backed down TBH
Bray must have serious money in there this season
Cork re signing Sean Maguire is a good news for them also
Wexford Youths are announcing a signing on their social media platforms at 1pm, mate.
they have a platform?
those accounts don’t take into account membership money
I hope for your sake that the mistakes from the past are not being repeated. It would be lunacy for Rovers to try and outbid Dundalk now with the pot of money they have.
Is this like a Stevie Gerrard thing? Could Rovers possibly have kidnapped a Finn family member?
Gartland linked too
Is that a poof?
Ronan Finn will captain Shamrock Rovers next season.
Are you riding him or something? Calm down, mate.
