AISHS Limerick v Kilkenny-The Game to unite the board

Dowling scores three points in the Munster final yet O’Neill had a great game. Cadogan scores three points and he should be YHOTY.:smiley:

Like how poor limerick were while O’Grady was there yet you decide to give him credit for their support play after they improve out if all proportion once he’s gone? Sheer, complete, willing blindness.

You refuse to accept facts that don’t correspond to your preset opinions.

why do ye waste time with him? he has absolutely no idea…
I never said he was poor. Just not as good as ye would like to think.

He was completely out of position for first goal and didn’t command the square at all for 2nd. That ball was a backs ball and as nice a touch as it was it should never have gone in.
That noise you hear is the bluffing cunt starting to move the goalposts.

Christ almighty
How can the full back be out of position when it’s a midfielder scoring the oppositions goal? Is he meant to mark the midfielder as well as the full forward?

I really hope the poor typing & comments like above are in fact a windup as I fear you are too old for remedial help back in school.
It’s about positioning. And who scores the goal is irrelevant. The best full backs don’t get drawn out. Lohan was a great example of this, his decision making of when to leave and when not to was superb.
Sully had his flaws, and his cult status slighted over rated his hurling ability somewhat but he also had that brain and ability.
Players like Eoin Kelly, Tipp would seriously expose McCarthy, Lar might have done it to were he on him. Getting out of the way and dragging the FB with you is a skill that he was exposed on again Sunday.

Your poor understanding of the sports gets constantly exposed, by yourself.

Clowns like you keep saying before every game that McCarthy is going to be exposed.
The clowns are still waiting.

I never said Cadogan “should be” anything. I said he had a better chance if he played semi final and final and that alit of the previous games get forgotten with such awards.
Tony Kelly was not that great in too many games last year till semi final.

What in the good fuck?!!

I’m very disappointed yet at the same time reassured for next year. They stood up and gave a good account of themselves which was the minimum required. We nearly had them. The players can stand proud today, they are still only finding things out about themselves and what individually their limitations are. From here they should sore on. I feel so much empathy for Seamus Hickey . He brought a lump to my throat when he spoke so well representing my county collecting his motm award. We love you Seamus and believe me we can feel your pain. These are a special group of players who love each other and believe in each other and that is the key to our future success. They will win the AI next year.

Stay positive lads. Know that we’re here and that we too cry in disappointment when we lose such an important match, it is the most important thing in my life so I can only guess what it means for you guys the players. Horse on. Well done KK, ye shaded it.

Are you actually watching these games or following them on the radio?

great post.

the passion you have for Limerick hurling is evident from that post and you can see what it means to you

Thanks Ned.

Spent the day in the national archives day dreaming about ifs and buts. My heart is broken.

Go out and get yourself together with a lady brandishing a tattoo and tell us about it tomorrow.

@Horsebox
Has this thread united the board as you expected & desired?

 hopefully her hair dye doesn’t destroy Mark’s pillow cases

Nah, we never in 2012 had the talent across the paddock that limerick have now. The limerick forwards are in a different league as a unit, as are their backs, though we improved considerably down the spine this year. We don’t have, in my opinion, the hurlers that limerick have, and though I’d give us a punchers chance in any game, we haven’t ever looked like being able to win three big games or four big games in a row. Limerick’s problem is that we are at last in a time of five genuine contenders, any of who could win the thing, along with Galway, Waterford, Wexford and Laois getting there, who could give one of those a fright.
I’ve never seen us (Galway) as genuine contenders this past few years, though this year was a step in the right direction. We are like herity under a high ball, you always watch from behind your hands.

Yeah… maybe.

Limerick never looked like scoring a goal yesterday though, that’s one thing we can do and its something Limerick are going to have to work on.

I agree they have a better spread of quality forwards alright.

I think we had three very threatening top class forwards yesterday, one forward off form, and two that were fairly effective for 40/50 minutes. I’m pretty sure Galway have at least that in terms of talent. All of them performing on the same day is the problem.

Two big maybes there I’d say, well one big maybe in terms of talent. The other about simultaneous performance is correct :-).
