Nadal is the only seed left in his quarter of the draw.
Bad day for the French. Gasquet for the umpteenth time managed to blow a two set lead and lost to Nick Kyrgios 10-8 in the 5th. Gael Monfils out as well. Tsonga back on court now and 11-11 with Sam Querry in the 5th. A hat-trick of French seeds crashing out today still a real possibility.
Raonic and Nishikori are still there.
Monfils has to be the biggest waster on the tour. He has all the talent in the world but just cant be arsed.
Anyways the lovely Eugenie Bouchard coming onto court soon.
They are in his half of the draw not in his quarter of the draw.
1/8 does not equal a quarter.
Querry/Tsonga are now 12-12 in the 5th. Could be another US/French marathon of Isner/Mahut proportions unfolding.
Lukas Rosol hit out at Rafael Nadalās slow pace in their Wimbledon second round clash on Thursday, claiming the sportās big stars are not sanctioned enough.
Rosol believes Nadal was constantly breaking that rule in his 4-6, 7-6 (8/6), 6-4, 6-4 defeat.
āI think all the players should have the same time between the points. But always the best players, theyāre taking much more than the normal players, and nobody is telling them nothing. I donāt know why,ā said the 28-year-old Czech.
"When the game starts it was not 30 seconds. It was one minute always. āHe is doing all his rituals. Somebody has to tell them something. Itās not my fault. I said to the referee if itās still okay, and he was saying to me, yes, it was fine.ā
Nadal, who has often received warnings for the time he takes between points, was also accused of benefitting from good fortune in the match.
āIn the end he was more lucky,ā said Rosol who had beaten Nadal in a second round shock at Wimbledon in 2012.
"I made a double fault on the last point of the second set. It was pretty windy from the back.
āRafa was playing pretty good but at 2-0 up in sets would have been a different story. At 1-1, the match is still open.ā

Sour grapes, he was beaten by a better player and should show some class.
Heās called it as it was. Heās commented on the fact that Nadal was breaking the rules and cheating today. Thatās an indisputable fact.
No that is a rant fueled on bitterness. Nadalās dominance has you on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Its all lost on you. If you think biting an opponent in a football match is perfectly acceptable behaviour and also approve of the vile racist abuse which has been directed at your fellow Italian, Mario Balotelli, youāre certainly not going to understand concepts such as decency, humility, etiquette, respect for an opponent and the proper way to conduct oneself during a sporting contest.
Thatās the difference between you and me, Manuel, Iām a winner and youāre a loser with a strong victim mentality.
Dominance? Nadal has won the Championship just twice. Its okay but it pales in comparison to what the likes of Laver, Borg, Sampras & Federer have achieved.
Nadal has also been knocked out the past two years by players outside of the Top 100.

Iāve told you over a dozen times that Roland Garros is a superior tournament and requires a greater skill level.
Djokovic is a class act. Overruled an umpireās decision on a crucial point today. Stepanek challenged a line call successfully. Umpire ordered point to be replayed but Djokovic told him that he wouldnāt have returned it and to award the point to his opponent. Class act.
I reckon of the so called āBig 4ā Novak is the only one of them thatās a sound man and a bit of a laugh.
Andy fulfils every grumpy Scot stereotype. Iām a grumpy sort myself so I actually find that quite appealing and like him a lot.
Federer like every successful and rich Swiss person is a prat. Thereās never been a player like him as aesthetically pleasing to watch on court but off court canāt do either magnanimity in victory or graciousness in defeat. I actually suspect, heās not the brightest. His comments after Novak beat him in the US Open Semi Final of 2011 win the gold medal prize in that regard.
Nadal is as cute as a fox in terms of showing humility and graciousness when a microphone is thrust in front of him. On court its a different story the gamesmanship is a throwback back to Jimmy Connors in his pomp. Constantly taking an age between points, a full towel down after every point, playing up injuries and at crucial junctures of a match getting the trainer on to break an opponents gathering momentum. This yearās Australia Open against Stan Wawrinka was a case in point. On that occasion both his opponent and the Melbourne crowd got on his case in a big way. Another one that sticks in the mind is the French Open final of 2011 when Federer had just won a set and the whole momentum of the final seemed to be shifting, there was a long hold up as Nadal had a strapping on his ankle reapplied which he claimed was too tight.
As Iāve said many times, Novak is an absolute top man. The number 1 gentleman in the game.
Nadal has done similar previously, hereās an example of when he did it at Roland Garros in a semi final against Murray.
Federer on the other handā¦

This is a discussion about proper tennis. Iād refer you to the title of the thread, weāre talking about the All England Lawn Tennis Championship 2014. Bar yourself, thatās all any of the other contributors who are all serious tennis people want to discuss. If you want to rant about whatās meant to pass as tennis - rolling around in the muck, go to one of the numerous threads you set up to natter to yourself. Its risible in the extreme that thereās youtube footage of tennis in the muck appearing on whatās a discussion of tennis in its purest and proper form - the Championship.
What weāve seen at the Championship in the past 24 hours is an act of supreme sportsmanship from Novak, to which the cheating and gamesmanship of Nadal compares very unfavourably.
