They blew Mayo away in the final stretch yesterday. They blew them away in the second half last year. They blew Kerry away in the second half in both finals last year, one where Kerry were out on their feet in the last 15 minutes despite playing with a man extra for most of the game.
It all comes down to conditioning.

I donât get the disdain for Ă SĂŠ. He has been a brilliant servant for mayo for years now. He is clearly an excellent player and moved from pillar to post because mayo need two of him. So what he hasnât scored in a final, scoring has never been his main strength. I thought he had a decent game yesterday and after he won the high ball off cooper should have been left in there to test Dublin at the back further. Mayo were the better team for three quarters of the game yesterday but Dublin just had too much.

I havenât seen anyone mention it but Davy Byrne had a real strong final quarter for Dublin winning hard ball and driving forward with it

Yeah they took wrong options because they were being pressured and overwhelmed by a better team. Itâs not culture itâs superiority. Your argument is bollox. Dublin were better. Be happy with that and donât try to belittle mayo by suggesting their âcultureâ or attitude is not as good, it is. Maybe itâs even better, what other team keeps coming back like them.

What about it? It was merited. They should have received a second black card and a third card was a clear yellow at minimum and if it had been a red you couldnât have argued it.
One of Fermanaghâs best players was flying in from Budapest to play matches.
Mayo have lads commuting from Dublin on a weekly basis.
So have Donegal
Tyrone have lads coming from Dublin and Belfast.
Thats the difference between Dublin and the rest, itâs reality.
Players from other counties have to sacrifice so much more than Dublin players do so they simply cannot work as hard as Dublin players can - which is why the game is rigged

Mayo were the team consistently fouling yesterday and the referee just turned the cheek.
Dublin lost a player to a black card because McLaughlin ran directly into the Dublin player.
Justice was done in the end via the score line, just a pity it wasnât by more in the end.

There was a great interview on off the ball a few years ago outlining the work mayo have to do on logistics and preparation. One training session in Dublin and one in mayo one night of the week, bring them together for a second night, maybe in Athlone or somewhere. Players arriving home from training at 1 2 or 3 in the morning. Dublin on the other hand fed and watered and him in bed by 9. Every game a home game as well.
You canât say those advantages added up arenât worth something to a team. A point maybe?
Theyâve had these advantages as long as Dublin has been the capital and Irish people have actually worked. So since, say the 80s.
Why arenât Antrim pissing the hurling? Theyâve the same advantages

Antrim is a majority protestant county and the majority of the population is situated in Belfast. Hurling lies behind association football and gaelic football in Belfast. The nationalist rural areas of Antrim donât have big populations.

Do. Why shouldnât you. Be proud of the team. I would be. Theyâre great. That doesnât mean Iâm wrong, you can admit a Dublin player should have been penalised for emptying an opposition player with a shoulder through the chest and Dublin can still be great. The two are not mutually exclusive. I donât understand why you canât admit that. Itâs like youâre so insecure in supporting your team that you canât admit any of the advantages that they have had in their favour.
