All Ireland Football Final - An Classico

What is the meaning of an alickadoo? I always thought it was the snobby Kilkee crowd down from Limerick who played golf and had houses instead of mobile homes? Well to do etc.

A lot of the players have strong academic backgrounds & possess professional qualifications beyond third level degrees alright. For example, I took great pride in Chartered Accountants Ireland congratulating Con O’Callaghan, Eoin Murchan, Ryan Basquel & Sean McMahon earlier this week on LinkedIn. But the team commands huge support from right across the county/city irrespective of so called social class. You get very wealthy backers such as @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy right down to paupers like @Juhniallio who festoon their dwelling houses with tacky bunting, flags & posters.

Dublin teams usually contained a few high academic achievers. The 1976 team featured a solicitor, a doctor and an engineer. Kevin Moran was an accountant as well as the usual sprinkling of teachers.

With all the talk about Clifford , Con has been forgotten. His form has fallen off a cliff.

I only threw the bunting up on one of my houses this year mate. The taxman has stopped taking Dealz receipts off me.

What has Flynn been tweeting now?

Some amount of sweep sweeping under the tweet. The dublin PR machine in full effect.

I’m not surprised at that statement. Most primary teachers would teach the children about the dangers of smoking

Were you in The Lord Edward last night?

No but it looked iconic.

The Dubs really do leave every other county in the ha’ppenny place when it comes to conducting themselves with a bit of class in the post game celebration stakes.

Indeed, I saw Mannion belting out Rainy Night in Soho and Eoin Murchan on Piano. Impressive stuff.
