All Ireland Hurling Championship 2014

Tipp will be buzzing with that draw. We don’t even have a manager at the moment!

We’ve a brutal Munster championship record in Thurles over the last decade. It’s Tipp’s Munster and All-Ireland title to lose. Just hoping for a decent display before we go through the qualifiers.

Prediction No2. Kilkenny not to make the Leinster Final.

No3. Last round of Knockout qualifiers to feature Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny and Dublin.

Have you been at the sherry?

Considering Wexford should have beaten Dublin in Wexford Park this summer it is not an outlandish suggestion.

Stranger things have happened

Your old boys had to train undercover tonight so crowds wouldn’t bother the county lads… Who they playing? I see Pattern are playing Clarecastle, what stage is that at?

Clon play Clarecastle on Sunday, wouldn’t be surprised if Clarecastle turned them over. Camp isn’t as united as it was 4 or 5 years ago

That should have been Parteen… Auto correct.

Cyril nailed his colours to the Tipp mast tonight anyway - “they’ll come through on that side of the draw anyway”

8 months until some of these matches, fucking hell. Michael Lyster was doing his best to sound excited about the whole thing. The season is over five minutes ffs.

These draws are an utter irrelevance. winning a provincial title becoming more and more of a hindrance to All Ireland title ambitions.

2013 threw up a devalued All Ireland Final between two teams hammered by 8 and 9 points in the Munster championship. The new Leinster and Munster champions after imperious 12 and 9 point wins in their respective provincial finals both exit next day out after an absurdly long 5 week lay off.

Really can’t see Dublin being so slow out of the blocks again like in Wexford Park Fagan. Incidentally, where would it be played, I’m assuming Croke Park?

I really hope we’re not going to start going down this devalued / asterisk path for the 2013 championship.

Completely agree about the 5 week lay off point though, this really needs to be sorted ouit fo next year.

Laois to beat Wexford. It is written.

The knockout Munster championship is the real championship and there’s bound to be a drop off in performance once teams enter the devalued All Ireland championship.

It’s pretty sad that you had to explain that.

the lay off didn’t affect the Dubs in the football

It didn’t bother their hurlers a bit either.
