All Ireland Hurling Championship 2014

Sullivan will be back. Molumphy is nearly there. Darragh Fives is nearly there. Daniels is back training on his own. Barron might be back. Ray Barry could be back. Richie Foley is there or thereabouts, but I don’t rate him. Don’t think Maurice will make it and Philip Mahony is gone for the season. The intriguing one is Stephen Bennett, who is back training on his own. Question is when he will be pitched in.

is Stephen any relation to Dave (Lismore) ?

Would Molumphy be worth a crack at center-forward? His hard running, work ethic and experience might make a powerful leader for such a young, lightweight attack.

Putting a sweeper in front of our full-back line will surely be suicide against Clare, a team very happy to play it short and pick off points from range.

a lot of loose talk on here re Cork v Clare?? Hmm

No. Stephen and Shane are both sons of Pat Bennett from the neighbouring parish of Ballysaggart. Pat was a fine full forward in his day and was the only player to emerge with any honour from the hiding from Cork in the 1982 Munster Final. On the debit side he made a bit of an arse of himself after the Junior club All Ireland this year.

He might if he wasn’t injured.

Where did I say he wasn’t injured? Obviously I’m talking about his future position for Waterford.

Where did I say you said he wasn’t injured.

If we don’t beat that shower by a point a head I’ll off myself.

Considering Waterford have been an unmitigated shambles sofar under this management its hardly pushing the boat out to suggest Cork should be winning this rather easily.

The Cork crowd are truely detestable

you need to be careful with this shit talk. They started the league very well. They have younger players coming through now who believe they are as good as what is there, and rightly so, 4-5 years of excellent minor squads… The COrk backs do not inspire confidence, if you do not have a solid defence you can never be over confident. I think Corks experience and Horgans free taking will see them home but I expect Waterford due to their sheer strength at HB and technical ability up front to be very competitive

Why does he need to be careful? What will happen?

He’ll end up looking like those apes who support Liverpool now v 3 games to go in league

Conor O’Sullivan has been left out by Cork on Sunday. This is a surprise to me really.

As an aside, the Cork GAA team selection press releases on www.corkgaa.ie are very good.

Did he not miss pretty much all the league through injury?

Fuck knows, pal.

Pretty sure he did, but am open to correction*

*rather than saying he definitely did and then having to backtrack on the internet if he didn’t

I would love it if Waterford beat Cork, love it
