Well that is true. Say for argument sake Dublin come last in Leinster. Let them play off against Waterford with the losers going down and the winners of Joe McDonagh taking their place.

Maybe. But I’ll tell you something for nothing. There’d be very few dead rubbers. That’s what you want. I’d even go to watch Tipp v Kilkenny in Joe McDonagh final to lend my support for the weaker counties

The provinces won’t be cut. The provincial councils would fight it tooth and nail. You’re basically handing all power to croke park.

Basically, you’re dealing with cartels. No one wants to give their patch away.

Still think there would be absolute hidings dished out… There’d be a bit of build up to first game but by last game they’d have no motivation… The likes of loais or carlow getting slaughtered week in week out in front of their own could turn nasty…
