All-Ireland Hurling Championship 2019 II*** Up Laois

Sheehan will barely be hurling next year by all accounts, total lack of interest im told.

Im not sold on Connery I must admit. Again, i think he is too much of a loose ball player and we have enough of them. His swing will get him in trouble at senior imho. I would like to be wrong.

O Regan doesnt look like a massively consistent 70 minute player

Aggressive, athletic, skillfull and good hand. We dont have a huge amount of options. I heard he is a bit of a header which is what we need also😎

Pointless waffle about the League, he tried lads and felt what he had was his best team.

He did fill his togs on the line, as plain as day. To leave Gillane isolated like that is unforgivable.

Yeah thats accurate enough based on what few of his clubmates tell me.

Referees train as hard as the players.

@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy was spot on about the GAA’s inflated sense of itself

There’s a reasonably good conversion rate in Munster of star studded All Ireland winning underage teams converting quickly into senior All Ireland winning success. Cork AI minor winning team of 95, U21 97/98 won a senior in 1999. Tipperary minors 06/07, U21’s 2010 won a senior in 2010. Clare 3 in a row U21 team of 2012-14 won a senior in 2013. Limerick won two U21’s in 2015 & 17 and won a senior in 2018. Derek couldn’t complete that trend with a star studded under age crop.

That Waterford minor winning team of 2013 had evolved into an exceptional U21 team by 2016. Derek had 5 years at it from 21014-18. He won 2 of 11 matches in the Munster Championship, won 1 out of 4 knock out matches in Croke Park, a match that was in the balance until Cork had Damien Cahalane sent off. It wasn’t that stellar a record, with what he had at his disposal. After going close in 2017, 2018 was a shambles. There was a degree of bad luck with a few of the injuries, but a lot of the injured players were down to flawed preparation and players over cooked in training.

No shortage of quick wristed limerick fans.

They are the damning facts of his tenure. He is an egomaniac with no respect for anyone with a different mindset who has gone before him.

RTÉ need to clear him off now ASAP as he insulted quite a few people through his position with them this year. Basically using the pulpit to dish out some cheap shots.

He is clearly a bright and confident guy who has done well for himself professionally but he inherited good young lads and brainwashed the poor fuckers into a system which they could never win with.
Fuck a league win, only a handful of teams take it seriously generally after lucky results.

His Championship record abysmal, his defeats generally were absolute hidings too.

He probably doesn’t respect those who don’t respect him and he’d be right to not do so

In the “hurling firmament” this amounts to an “egomaniac”

In the real world it amounts to being a bright and confident person

This is why taking these public jobs is an issue for touchy souls like Derek. He is so lucky RTÉ give him a podium to settle scores upon.

By your logic sheedy filled his togs any time Tipp lost a game.

I’m trying to put my finger on when you decided to try to be such a wanker all the time, was it about two years ago?

About the same time you starting weeping blood from your newly formed vagina.

How do his tears taste?

Top notch retort. I don’t know how you manage such consistent quality.

The general reaction to John McGrath’s goal being disallowed is fucking nuts. It’s very fucking simple. Cleere blew his whistle well before the goal was scored.

Some are claiming that the goal should have stood but also that Wexford should have got the point and see no conflict over both being awarded.

People are very, very stupid though.

Just look around you in everyday life. I am amazed that the human race has lasted as long at it has.
