Loughnane is brilliant. An awful loss to The Sunday Game. Great hearing him there.

He’s right about Derek McGrath there. He had Brick, Moran and co in their prime and two wins in Munster out of 11 games under him is brutal. Every other RTE pundit would just blow smoke up McGrath’s hole.

So he was doing his job? He’s just supposed to introduce topics, keep it moving, his fault was cutting across the lads sometimes when the company line was under threat, but it rarely happened. He passed the odd pithy comment, didn’t consider himself an analyst
