Carlow was also a factor. Had they hammered Carlow like you’d expect, they’d be facing into a Leinster final now.

The system limerick play now is similar to Kilkenny’s GOAT team and Galway’s set up.

Wexford’s ser up yesterday was again frustrating. Foley was more ineffective than usual but apart from Murphy our backs were more than capable of beating the lad they were on.

Obviously having Foley there allows us to attack the ball with a bit more comfort but we are getting crucified (not literally like) when he lash it up to a 1 v 3 scenario.

And for all our defensive positioning there were a hape of uncontested KK shots on goal when we were AWOL in our own 2nd quarter of the field.

You’d imagine anything other than a 10-15 point win for Tipp against a tired, and seriously depleted Limerick team will have Sheedy considering his position

Canning has had the odd off season surgery in his inter county career and been eased back into action, but he was involved early this season. He was getting right stuck in during the Walsh Cup muck in January/February. Maybe his injury would have happened either way, but if only we had an S&C expert on the site to expand on whether his loading was a factor.

Anyone see yer wan Rachel from Sky last night when they came back from the ad break straight after full time?

They had an incorrect score line graphic of Wexford 0-21 Kilkenny 0-10 so she read it out and said Wexford with the win in that one.

And she after sitting there and watching it.

The slide tackle Eoin Murphy made in the first half was a lot worse and far more dangerous, should have been a penalty and some form of card but nothing at all happened
