Is the English Premiership devalued because a team can lose three times and still win it? What about the Super Bowl Winners? In the NBA and Baseball World Series a team can lose 3 matches in the finals and still win it.

The format is madness, you have four teams plus a cannon fodder team in Leinster, play 10 matches and all four end up with the same points. Either give more reward for a win or play every game to a decider. That’s before even getting to Munster, where Limerick tried their best to finish third and failed.

And despite all that, Galway were still so poor they got knocked out.
