Its a Tipp Cork thing really.
They have the Limerick crowd rattled.
We never feared Tipp. It’ll only make it all the sweeter
Out my backroom is working late nights and will have shredded the cork puckouts in time for training tomorrow.
They start on Tipp next Sunday night
Tipp players will be looking forward to taking on Limerick. Christ I can wait until the Dow, Kyledimo etc roll into Semple stadium.

Thats a bit harsh on Dowling. He’s rolled in and out of Semple many times, but to be fair to him he looks relatively trim nowadays.
As trim as Bubbles though?
Tipp did the exact same to Cork in the final group league game and then lost to Dublin next time out. I’d hold my judgement yet.
I think Waterford are a lot better than they showed yesterday.

They match up well against Tipp also, expect them to dominate centre field which will put Tipp half back line under more pressure.
Waterford will need to rejig somewhat. Maybe push Moran up to half forward and Maurice in the full forward lines for some more physicality/ball winning and start Fives and Conor Gleeson in defence.

Tipp still don’t have a centre field which is probably the biggest worry going into the remaining games. I’d expect Waterford game to be very tight.
Shane Bennett still running with the head down and refusing to catch the ball with his hand is a poor reflection on Waterfords coaching.
I must say that the result aside, Championship hurling is immense entertainment particularly with a full stand and you nearly sitting on the pitch. It was very enjoyable to be able to roar at a linesman or referee and know that they can hear you. I expect that Championship matches in Walsh Park will become a cult destination of choice for hurling hipsters.
Numbers 8 and 9 in modern day hurling have become the least important positions on the pitch. So much of the play bypasses there and in effect all you have is a log jammed middle thirds. All you want really from those 2 is a bit of extra cover in defense from your 8 and a number 9 that keeps the ball moving and chips in with the odd score.
If they can keep them all out of the courts the job will be oxo.
I’m not sure about that, of the last 8 Hurler of the Year winners 4 have been midfielders. They get on a lot of ball in the modern game, and how they use it tends to decide the winners.

Jamie Barron does a little bit more than that for Waterford.
The 2 Bennett’s while obviously game & good tryers still seem to lack the nous & wrist to lead an IC attack imo.
On one hand I’d agree with you, on the other League is a pile of bollox.

Don’t think this is the case with all teams.
