All Ireland Hurling Championship 2022

Cark always relish beinng the underdag* said with a norrie accent waving the hand violently

Nobody giving cork a chance against a team that lost the leinster final and cork fell into 3rd due to Waterford self distructing on their own hype and Tipp fielding their worst team in years. … strange behaviour from a carkie saying nobody thinks theyll win. You cant hide the rebel arrogance

That’s a good summation except if Galway get a few goals and win, and we are useless at working them, we won’t learn anything or improve. Theres a deep seated refusal to work as a team and do what they’re told that permeates Galway hurling.

Cork will eventually start getting more physically involved. Not enough to dominate Limerick or Kilkenny but enough to stand up for themselves. That and good ball use will have us wilted by 50 minutes. There’ll be the usual late Galway rush of scores when it’s already lost

They could blindfold Whelan and he would still destroy that misfortune ffs.

Galway can’t even afford a puckout strategy. It’s a miracle they got this far with such financial hardship. Cork will hit them for 50 points just running at Gmac.

Would have thought the calender move to pre Galway races would have done ye the World of good

What’s the next pick like if Henry looks to freshen things up going forward? ( if things go bad Saturday of course )

There is a large cohort of people who were scarred for life over an incident similar to the one above, even tho the man who had his hand hit was swinging just as hard :man_shrugging:

I’d say Flynn would be starting Saturday instead of Concannon. I’d like to see Hastings in to add a bit of mullocking around wing forward too because Joseph Cooney and Mannion are both too quiet to start together.

But I can only really seeing him swap Coen and David Burke from the last day out.

Switching my pick to Galway

Downey won’t be marking Whelan, surely that’ll be SOD.

Does it matter?

Whelan would absolutely destroy Downey with any sort of good ball. SOD would at least needle him.

Although if Galway don’t learn how to play decent ball, poor Whelo might have to do a lot of work.

Galway by 4 points

To be fair, Whelan would pretty much do that to sny defender.

Why on earth do you just make stuff up to suit whatever narrative you are trying to spin?
