Conlon will be 34 next year. The stragglers from 2013 arenāt going to get any younger or better. Itās a long time since Clare put in strong years back to back. This generation has put in three strong years - 2013, 2018, 2022. That seems to be the way of it.

The loss of Conlon was massive and compounded by the ability of his replacement. If Hannon was replaced by a similar standard player, Iād fancy Galway tomorrow. Clare looked edgy and played/shot like that.
