Mate you’ve been shown up badly in this thread
has that psychopath @cluaindiuic shown up yet? Only for the man he spent the run up roaring and shouting about (Barry Kelly) awarded KK almost twice as many frees they’d have lost, Tipp only got 6 frees in the whole game despite having more possession.
He wont be there to save them the next day
`
What’s this linking frees to possession about.
Is it a Clare thing? Davy Fitz was on about something similar after the Cork game.

its not complicated, if you have the ball in your hand more often than the opposition, its more likely you’ll win more frees. If for instance one side had 70% possession and another had 30% and the side with the lesser % was complaining about not winning free’s it wouldn’t be a great foundation for the argument.
However that’s just my opinion, if you want Davys you should friend him on face book and ask, I wouldn’t like to second guess whats going on inside that head

Maybe Tipp should think about fouling less?
I heard that line after Galway drew with them in 2012. KK won’t be going anywhere in a hurry*.
*excuse the pun.
Tipp hurled far better than kilkenny but they still didn’t win. Reading Vincent Hogan today youd swear tipps drive for 5 was already underway. Cody must have thought walter would do the same job as he did on johnny coen but he was on real cornerbacks yesterday not just makeshift ones.
I haven’t read back through the thread to know if this has been mentioned
Anyway Jones Road outside the Hogan stand exit just in front of the Croke Park hotel was absolute mayhem as people exited after the match. Just a complete log jam.
Never seen it as bad and bar a lad on a megaphone shouting to people to move slowly not a Garda or croke park official in sight
I have exited croke park on many a full house but never came across a situation like it before. I might be slightly alarmist but it was not too far from being a messy crush.

That was covered over 10 pages here today ffs. Please just leave it off.

That helicopter flying overhead has thermal imaging camera to spot crowd build up
Documentary about AI day few years ago showed it and a build up/crush in same place that day too
No hassle leaving the Cusack side. Was home in Tipp by 7.30pm.

Saw that documentary and noted the helicopter overhead on sunday. The gas thing yesterday was the lad on the loudspeaker asking people to move slowly. People couldn’t move slowly as they actually were not moving at all!
Its the first time I experienced what I did sunday. croker normally empties incident free I take it
where was this discussed today? don’t want to be annoying chocolate mice
You could watch it a 100 times and nobody here will still take a tack of notice what you say.

People stop outside hotel to meet people plus crowd exit into other exiting crowd
For replay if there is no curtain raiser there will be a build up in same spot on way in too as everybody will go at same time. Happened in replay last year. I thought it would be delayed but they cleared it
I don’t have much to say about the match than has already been said. It was excellent stuff from start to finish. Tipp put together an incredible performance particular around the fluidity and accuracy of their forward play. Kilkenny [read Colin Fennelly x2 and Richie Power x1] overplayed the ball a bit in attack and should have taken the chances to make them harder to catch when they had the lead.
Curious game when you concede 1-28 and feel the defending wasn’t that bad. Tipp scored a huge amount of points from tough angles, under pressure which is a real credit to their preparation. In truth there could have been 4 more goals given all the goal chances squandered on both sides.
Bonner Maher is a top notch player. The two Richies were excellent for us. Eoin Larkin started like a train. He was a bit quieter in the second half but put in some shift defensively.
Barry was exactly how I described him. At his inconsistent and attention seeking best.
Larkin couldn’t get a free even after getting a Rock Bottom early on. The final free was a joke altogether. No free committed by either player.
I’m sure I could find plenty of stuff that he missed committed by KK.
Brian Hogan wasn’t expected to start as he hadn’t trained much in the lead up. I heard from multiple good sources that he is dealing with an injury.
I also heard Herity was ill last week and that led to Murphy starting. I’m not sure how valid that one is.
More of the same next time. We’ve been in bonus territory with this team since 2012. So win or lose we’ve been given plenty a great days.
One more for the road.

croke park would want to be givin this a bit more consideration. Given the lengths they went to stop fans getting on to the pitch they should ensure they can exit the ground in a better fashion.
It’s a terrible insecurity hurling people have. Donal Og was at it again at the end of his radio commentary. It is easy to get caught up in it I suppose, but a 2nd watch is always needed. I said during the first half that the standard was poorish and to be honest I thought both tactically and hurling wise KK were pretty shit and lucky enough to be only 2 down. The 2nd half the standard definitely improved. However it was still a very enjoyable game.
I think hurling people were praying for something after the football being so good recently.
Tony Considine is a tool in general, but at least he is honest enough to say it’s been a shit year for hurling.
They could let them onto the pitch
They could let them onto the pitch
the whole penalty thing needs revisiting…reduce the men on the line…its little or no advantage now

I cannot think of a better final to be honest
I thought it was an unreal physical contest and superb skill level especially the point taking.
Name a few better finals Kev
