Kilkenny have never lost an All Ireland refereed by Kelly. He refereed their finals in 2006 and 2012 and he is credited with pulling them over the line in the 2008 final. Kilkennyites have a problem with him because he once had the temerity to send Henry off.
Can we have some specific instances from KK folk as to why Kelly is deemed unsuitable ? Cluinduic you are normally very robust in your defence of refs ( even incompetent ones ) which is why I’m certain there is something behind this ?
