1500 isn’t bad at all. How many Limerick folk boosted that attendance.
Half at least. Saying that we there is plenty of Limerick folk living in Dublin who would rarely come down for home games
Cookies always well supported. Best club in Limerick by a mile
Definitely the loudest. Great to see a bump in home crowds post covid. A big boost in travelling support from other clubs too. Hopefully the game we are playing now brings more interest in. We are not the traditional up the jumper team anymore as we would usually be classed as. Saying that we are very physical to match the “bigger” teams. Con, lansdown tarf and garryown with all have bigger forwards than us
From matches I’ve been to and snippets of footage from matches seen online, it’s great to see everyone seems to have moved from that. Keeping the ball alive and in hand seems to be core at everyone’s game.
Clontarf had a huge pack on the weekend and were doing untold upfront but, when ball shifted from set piece, played ball in hand, heads up rugby. Could easily have won the match playing one out, pick and go, maul it style but still chose not to.
Really has been very entertaining fare so far
Can’t wait I heard they were doing interviews with the cookies team and management during the summer also.
Hopefully will get good interest and all clubs see an increase in interest around the country
Interesting results today. Had a few bob on clontarf turning ye over @Heyyoubehindthebushes
Had Terenure beating garryowen too.
Didn’t see the hiding Lansdowne got coming by Trinity though.
League is anyone’s yet
Yeah tarf full value for the win they came up and beat us up front. A good kick up the hole to bounce back from. Any cookies at the game will give a great account of the refereeing performance but no excuses tarf we’re the better team and deserved winners
They’ve a monster pack. They’ll be there/thereabouts at the end
Dod anybody catch this?
I caught bits of it as I was doing a bit of light home maintenance in the sitting room.
Seemed grand enough, there was a great juxtaposition at one stage as the show jumped from some Nordie (possibly Ballynahinch) ex-bank manager, expressing fears over funding and loss of sponsorship in the wake of Covid, to Keith Earls reminiscing about togging off for some friendly with his father for Young Munster and the heads being pucked off fellas.
Yeah thought it was a strange point on finances.
Earls was on about a game woth thomand. Keith never played for the cookies. He was also incorrect about losing finals. We never lost (or gotten to an ail final). His father was part of a team that lost 7 senior Cup finals tho.
I thought he said they were down at Young Munster but in fairness I was only half listening. Thomond makes more sense.
The worst place ever to play is down in Fitzgerald Park. You double check your gumshield is packed that morning before leaving the house.
@LionelRitchie did you go up to the terenure game? Looked like some set up with a massive crowd. The final next week will be a great game
Just in the door from it. Wasn’t a great match, huge wind. But yeah, the marquee was unreal. Great atmosphere there today, big crowd.
Match moved back to Lansdowne on Sunday. Had been pencilled in for donybrook as energia main sponsor and wanted it in Energia Park.
‘Scorthy barely beat Tullamore in 2c semi final
Won 12-9
Play offs for promotion seems bit unfair, granted known at start of season
In between which is a better choice of venue. Still an opportunity to play in the stadium is great. From the pictures lakelands looked to be hopping
