All Ireland Senior Football Championship 2014

The GAA have banned the use of ball boys behind the goals. I wonder how this will impact on Cluxton and de Duds.

He’s fucked. They should drop him now and be done with it.

Cork team Sunday. Very interesting half back line. O Rourke is an out and out speedster. Clearly Cork are following Dublin, to a degree. Dublin still have more power 5-12, Cork have some serious foot passing ability in that area in contrast.
Cutbert also stuck to his word on the hurlers. Probably a good call with the season as a whole in mind. It’s pretty obvious Andrew O Sullivan will be replaced in time by Walsh and this is a real problem area for Cork. Walsh and Gould is a fine partnership but there is zero back up. Ruiri Deane is talked as one but I only ever saw him play half forward and he looked too light back then, so I have nothing to judge him on. Ian McGuire is clearly not deemed physically ready yet, but he would certainly seem to be the answer.
Forwards as expected except for CON, who is clearly been seen as an impact sub for the foreseeable.
Good balance to the bench with an all star defender, midfielder and attacker to come on.

While Brian Cuthbert has elected to start without the three dual players, Damien Cahalane, Aidan Walsh and Eoin Cadogan, he has nonetheless named an experienced side, with Noel Galvin the only championship débutant.

Great to see the Antrim man holding down his place, keeping up a fine tradition in Cork GAA.

+1

Their best player last year as well.

Weekend predictions:

Sligo 0-10 Galway 0-13
Cork 3-14 Tipperary 0-10
Clare 1-09 Kerry 2-19
Donegal 2-11 Antrim 0-09

Derry 2-12 Longford 0-08
Laois 1-16 Fermanagh 0-13
Wicklow 1-09 Offaly 1-11
Limerick 2-11 London 0-08

That’s a fairly average Cork side, not that its Cuthbert’s fault much.

+1

A particularly weak looking half back line made up of a blow in from Antrim and two forwards.

Outside of AOS, who is “average”?

is it true you met him in the foreign exchange queue when you were changing your money to come down here?..

Unlike Totti this lad is a citizen of the Republic

Elaborate?

You’re a Brit.

Sad to see you denouncing players playing for your own county like that. You’re also incorrect as I’m Italian.

I’m not, unlike the other way around, we welcome outsiders looking for a better life with open arms.

How is he a Brit?

I believe you are as I don’t think many Ulster gaels would like being described as “Brits”, particularly coming from an insular partitionist residing in the commonwealth.

He was born there, he has a British passport, he follows Tyrone football even though he is from Armagh, mostly cos they are perceived as a better team right now.
He’s a Brit.

They are happy enough to use the British passport when it suits, like being refused a visa on an irish one, or to go to London and walk away from debts etc. in Dublin and at home.
Oh they are well able to become Brits when it is to their benefit.

I don’t have a British passport. I never have and never will and it’s very common for most nationalists in Ulster not to have British passports.
