All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2016 You Are What You Eat

That’s pretty much it. Galway should be the template. I don’t think a provincial title in the next 5 years is out of the question if things aren’t rushed.

Don’t kid yourself. The current Galway side is backboned by players who’ve All Ireland medals at U-21, players with talent in other words. They won a long overdue Connacht title and it’s great but in the even greater scheme of things they still have a long, long way to go. Beating a terrible Rossie side should not serve as a template for any genuinely aspiring county.

Kildare is a dull county who play even duller football.

If Clare and Derry win that means a draw for the A section quarter-finals, I think?

Similarly if Mayo and Cork win on the B side.

Presume Clare v Roscommon will be played down here in the Shtadium. Christ knows where Derry will play Tipp. Longford would be far too big for the crowd that will attend that.

B games will be in Croke Park I’d say.

Can’t believe I forgot this one.

Tyrone v Armagh in the 2014 qualifiers.

Mickey Harte faced widespread disquiet about his continued tenure in Tyrone and looked to be on the way out, while Kieran McGeeney’s addition to the Armagh backroom team appeared to have rapidly improved them - they would be a team to watch over the coming years.

the strength in depth of the Munster football championship is there for all to see now with 4 of the 6 counties represented in the last 12, one could argue the point if Limerick had to face anyone else bar Cork and instead drew some pile of shit like Cavan , Monaghan, Mayo or Kildare they’d be there also

Do Cork people travel to football games outside of September at all anymore?

no
if the game is on in dublin youd get a few hundred who are living up there to go along allright, if its a double header they would never stay for the second game also
but , would people actually travel from Cork to watch the footballers outide of an AIF ? No , not a chance.

Tipp have allowed Derry have home advantage in Breffni Park.

Best to have the football out of the way as soon as possible is presumably the thinking.

Twas grand while it lasted lads, now fuck off

Cork will beat Donegal and then come reasonably close to Dublin.

Not that they are so much better than Donegal, they clearly are not, but they have many advantages

Such as?

Superior S & C.

Winning games. Extra recovery. Players coming into form. Donegal losing players. Ian McGuire.
Tyrone expised Donegals weakness on the turnover ( defensively). Efforr Donegal put in mentally and physically yesterday was huge.

Also there’s the examples already shown of how mentally and physically empty Cavan and Monaghan were after their Ulster defeats the following week.

Does the fact that Cork are absolute muck factor into your thought process?

One day extra recovery for a game to be played in two weeks time is not a big advantage.

Donegal coped fine last year against Galway in the same situation.
