A yellow for holding him down seemed fair enough. Not every swing is a punch. By that logic every failed tackle is a punch. It was a bit of hand fighting. Nothing more.

Because the ref is so fucking biased, the other lad he was grappling with should have got a yellow, but you probably think he was lying on the ground minding his own business.
Linesman more than likely felt he had pinned him to the ground or was the guilty party in the exchange. There was more than just an isolated swipe
