Clare are the only team we saw today that might improve enough to cause a problem for one of the others as season goes on. Flat in patches today but id b surprised if something not left in the tank

Lads seem to be way over analysing things as usual. Game was won at half time, Limerick came out and played damage limitation stuff second half and made it a dog fight which was fair enough as their forwards were being so comprehensively beaten they would have shipped a beating going man for man. Clare’s back were comfortable throughout and we saw it out.
The game was all about winning, the game descended into attentional stuff second half due to Limerick flooding the middle third with bodies. Clare seemed happy enough to see it out.
You would be concerned about our ability to win long puckouts but our backs were very good today. O’NBrien has been a serious find. No frills but excellent at stopping his man while Dillon and McInerney down the middle make us very solid too. The four teams in the provincial finals would all be favourites against us but I think we will give a big performance in two weeks time. Conor McGrath and Ryan to return as well gives us plenty of options.
