Kilkenny were given some amount of soft frees especially in the 2nd half too that kept them in touch.

Waterford filled the togs with the winning tape in sight. The better team all over the field, all day long and they went into their shell with the line in sight. 4 up with 5 to play, the could have kept going as they were and seen it out. They had our number today.
Cracking game though. Some of the points were magnificent.

That’s a serious WD team, they had KK worried for a long time. Doubtful
if the replay will follow the same pattern, but it might.
KK generally need a bit of a fright every year before they click teamwise.
