Remiss of me not to say congrats. I went up to it and in fairness Tipp were better all over the field, despite the tactical fouling. The absence of Fennelly was crucial but even if he was playing I don’t think TJ was in good enough form to the damage required at the other end.

For all this talk of the greatest team ever the All Ireland head to head reads KK W3 D1 L2. I think Tipp will redress that statistic over the coming years and it will be an aberation in the 130 long years of our association. Kilkenny for the hurlers and Tipperary for the men.

This was the scene last evening over in Tom semples field. 
If the kk team from Sunday meet the greatest team of all time (kk from 06-09) they’d have beaten them by 40 points you clown. Tipp lost to a bunch of old men in 2014 and needed kk to be missing their two best players to win in 2010.
Haha John Tennyson actually played in 2010 you imbecile so did Henry. If memory serves me correct Henry hardly got a puck in 2009 against Brendan and Padraig Maher and KK needed a penalty from Diarmuid Kirwan to win that game.

Why dont we get a deloren time machine like something from back to the future and get the current KK crop to play that vintage in one of the infamous training matches in Nowlan park and get Brian Cody to ref it without a whistle. About 7 of the starting team this year wouldn’t have got on the subs in 09.

Probably not but there’s no relation between the 06 -09 side and this one. Completely different set of players. How many are even left from the ageing 2014 team that tipp couldn’t beat?

If you want to analyse it like 2 bald men fighting over a comb I will. Basically that Kilkenny vintage beat Limerick and Waterford in '07 and '08. They weren’t seriously tested until '09 when they came up against a Tipp side who should have beaten them except for officiating that would make boxing officials with IABA blush. Waterford were abysmal, Limerick weren’t much better. The TIpp side that won last Sunday would have the potential to hammer the Kilkenny team of that era. The game has moved on hugely.
