Good luck with that in a country that has 400 million guns, and where the great majority believe gun ownership should be legal. What should be done is a complete ban and buyback of semi-automatic weapons and much stricter background checks, including social media accounts. It is far too easy for people in the US to buy guns, but a complete ban is never going to happen.
With all these shootings, itâs just as well that a principled Supreme Court judge in Barf OâKavanaugh is on the case to fix things.

Twitter is poison, absolute polarization between hard right and left. there was a brief period where the majority seemed shocked by el paso and called for gun control, that lasted a few hours but its gone.
The dayton shooter was shot 30 seconds after starting to shoot. I wouldnât like to think what the response time would be in an irish town.

Indeed. Us v them both sides. Have a read of the replies to piers morgans tweet asking why do americans need guns, countless replies saying to fight tyranny. And being genuine. Theres a bizarre anxiety inbuilt in america that outsiders, even ones who live on coasts there, donât understand.
