Annual Performance Reviews in work - the audit trail

I am interviewing someone this afternoon, I will let you know how I get on.

Three months have flown by and I have my Q2 review later today. Looking forward to it:clap:

Yet more empty promises from balbec

No wonder he couldn’t hack it in Celtic Tiger Ireland

I can’t remember what I did three hours ago, never mind three months ago!

I left pre-Tiger kid. But no doubt I would have been unable to compete with the ballsy guys in the Tiger era.

I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.

Some day when you have time could you give us a quick synopsis as to how you ended up domiciled in Poland. I presume you stayed due to a woman but what got you there in the first place

I have the Sandie Shaw version of that on 7". Great tune.

 Nailed it

Righto.

If past performance is anything to go by I’d say you’ll be waiting.

Performance reviews in general are a load of cock unless you are doing a really really shit job.

I’m going on a two day development course in work in the coming months. Preparation for the course involves a detailed personality test, which I took recently. The two days basically consist of role play situations with paid actors. Your performance at all times is observed by a member of the firm’s senior management team. Apparently it costs a fortune to put on and is taken very seriously by senior management.

Should I just resign now and avoid it?

You are on the HiPo list, make the most of it while you can. Like political careers, most such runs end in disappointment and failure.

Q3 review coming up in two hours time. Can’t wait:pint:

Demand a salary increase. You’ve earned it.
