I have been the driver in situations like this and passenger.I know it’s a stuip thing to do but when you have no taxis about or any way home it’s very tempting and you don’t set out to hurt anyone but it happens which is no excuse

Exactly, and the three boys that got into the car with him presumably knowing the condition he was in, wearing no belts and flying on the road, hard to have too much sympathy for any of them, it’s their poor families I’m thinking of. They are lucky they didn’t take out some poor other law abiding road users with them.

I’ve been drink driving a few times and been drove home by a drunk driver but always nearly at a crawling pace. You’d have to be fucked altogether or mental to speed while drunk

I’d do that speed now and again off the motorway. Wouldn’t be hard hit in a good car at all. You’d meet cars routinely hitting that speed if a bit of road opens up.
