I think that’s empathy as opposed to emotional intelligence. I think empathy is more innate whereas emotional intelligence is built thru our environment growing up, and then we work in it they adulthood, men start to catch in in their late 20’s I believe.

Eh no Balbec, he didn’t.

@myboyblue - why did you give this post a well clamped rating?

You’re an intelligent man Balbec (though your credibility is being compromised by the favourable ratings you’re getting on this from my boy fuckwit). But thats a really fucking stupid post. I’ve already said there’s a lot to be proud of in Australia. Then I’ve pointed out how utterly awful its present government is. A government that was subjected to universal ridicule on any number of issues this week, even from its godfather, John Winston Howard.

I’ve lived in this country for 14 years, I pay substantially more tax than the vast majority of Australians. Am I to just meekly sit here and accept everything wrong with the country? I am grateful to Australia for the life I have. But surely in democratic country, its your right, indeed your duty, to contribute, to discuss and argue about what’s not right with the country? I’ve never been to Poland, I’m led to believe its a beautiful country with a tragic past, whose people are warm, friendly and intelligent. Is it perfect? I doubt it. Do you just sit there and accept everything wrong with it? Do you feel it would be ungrateful of you to criticise Polish society and its government in any way?

How about you get off the fence where you sit throwing out your silly little right wing insults and say something substantive. The three guests of the Australian nation here have every right to say what we think about it.

Cos he doesn’t have anything to say for himself, so he just bandwagons others, sometimes (certainly not in this case from balbec) witty and smart responses.

I saw 2 car stickers recently that tell you a lot about some Australians. Both slogans across a map of Oz.

“Love it or leave”
If you don’t like us, fuck off"

Integration hey!?!

There is a brilliant response on some Kiwi cars to the standard “Fuck off we’re full” stickers.
“Too late, we’re here” with a silver fern across the map of Oz.
The kiwi’s are really in their face and their brazen and sarcastic approach to things here is a joy to behold. They meet the bullshit head on. Generally the Irish either (small minority) become more Aussie than the Aussies or mostly just stick to themselves with another small minority mixing well while retaining their dignity and heritage.

He probably doesn’t even know himself. He also disagrees that surfing is enjoyable. Added to his dislike of people doing 10k’s and criticism generally of anyone that does anything makes you wonder about him. The guy doesn’t do anything and resents people that do.

I shall reply later during a conference call.

You’ll never harrow what I’ve ploughed mate. This coming from a cunt like you who saw fit to rate my dumb on the emperors thread and didn’t have the nuts to reply to it so go fuck yourself you silly little eunuch. People rating my posts doesn’t bother me one bit until a little prick like you comes on here bleating about it. I do my own thing around here, you’d do well to remember that.

Ratings don’t bother you, but I rated your post dumb (which it was) so you had to rate one of mine back? And they don’t bother you either but I “didn’t have the nuts to reply to it so go fuck [my]self”? Seems like they do bother you.

Two replies to the same post, oh dear. And then you didnt even read the post. Oh deary me. This was what I said you simple little man.

People rating my posts doesn’t bother me one bit until a little prick like you comes on here bleating about it.

Now grow a pair you little twerp.

Substantive? I don’t think my credibility will ever be compromised by being the wrong side of an argument with you. I am well off the fence. I just don’t subscribe to your populist lefty “four legs good, two legs bad” bullshit. I don’t do bandwagons, apart from Limerick hurling and LFC. You are well entitled to your opinion, as am I. So don’t give me that bullshit that I just deal in silly right wing insults. My world view is considered and thought out. Now maybe, my world view is shaped by spending a substantial amount of time in a country that suffered the consequences of leftist tinkering and fuckacting for 50 odd years. How do you reconcile your impeccable socialist credentials with sacking the deadwood anyway?

Why the fuck would you mention how much tax you pay if you believed in left wing politics? Only the likes of US Republicans, British Conservatives and the likes of the Progressive Democrats who are now FG talk of the amount of tax they pay…

Does the tax the person on minimum wage pays hit them less??? Get a grip you inverted snob.

Poland is full of right wing squared head nutjobs

you fit in well there

I don’t think any of us socialist types have communist ideas balbec. Being on the left doesn’t make us hanker for the return of the USSR. Although they did have a cool flag.

The USSR saved the world mate

we single handily defeated the nazis

Proof if ever it was needed that Aussies are shit fighters and guys willing to one-on-one is rare.

That long fella was well up for it in fairness but someone should have nutted him.
