The lad that went down in Dungarvan was flying a death trap. That particular plane type was banned from flying in British airspace due to its safety record. Most of those planes had more take offs than landings.
Wildly conflicting reports surrounding the circumstances of the Russian jet that came down yesterday. Reports suggest bodies being found as far as 8km from crash site indicates that it was blown up or at least disintegrated at altitude. IS are claiming it, all western and Russian news sources are rushing to discredit this probably because it was a missile supplied by either Russia or the US . I’d be wary enough of traveling on a US flag carrrier that crossed these territories at the moment

Seems a strange target for these towel heads though, attacking a Russian airliner leaving Egypt for Russia carrying a majority Russian nationals? They’d never have the wherewithal to shoot that down from the ground?

Fuck youd never get on a plane again after watching an episode of that. There was an episode there during the week about a Quantas flight yhat nearly came acropper. Thought a pilots job was easy enough until I started watching that
I’ll reserve judgement until I see croppy’s take on this.

OK, not the only ones. But good to see you acknowledge that Russia shoots down civilian aircraft, killing hundreds of people.
What’s the latest here? I haven’t been glued to the news but seems to be all hush hush enough. They found the black box, have they listened to it? No doubt they will make up some bullshit story or other. “Pigeons flew into the engine at 10,000ft and then engine blew up killing everyone.”
I think they found bodies a few miles from the plane indicating it was blown up.
It’s unlikely it was shot down, there seem to have been some concerns about the air worthiness of the aircraft (Russian engineering at its finest). So more probably the maintenance crew were off their faces on cheap vodka and it just fell part mid air.

But the towel heads came in and claimed they brought it down. Would these muppets just come in with a pack of lies or would they be moderately embarrassed if the truth came out and it was engine failure or some fault showing they had nothing to do with it? Presume it wouldn’t be enough to prevent them chancing their arms though…
Correct, and they certainly don’t just explode in the air.
The only absolute certainty in all this was that some group would claim they shot it down.

It does when it’s poorly maintained. The co pilots wife is supposed to have said he was scared shitless of the plane and it wasn’t maintained.
The problem is the weapons that these mad cunts are being armed with. The Malaysian crash was definitely a Russian supplied missile. This who the fuck knows who supplied it. Only safe way to go is avoid flying over regions where these fuckwits exist.
Even so the worst that can happen is a failure the pilots can typically deal with. Not the fucking thing disintegrating in mid air. It was hit by a missile but nobody wants to admit whose it was.
