When the time comes that there is an attack on Ireland, and it will happen some day, the Irish will be squealing for help from NATO. We’re already blessed that the RAF are so close. I’d rather spend 80m quid (which is th estimated cost of providing sufficient planes and radar) periodically than on wage bumps for the cosseted PS and social welfare, in order to give some protection for our skies.
