Inside track please @Batigol
Wrong airport
Epstein lad. Obviously
Russian plane birdstrike brought it down. Pilots able to land it safely in a corn field with no loss of life.
That Malaysian airline article is interesting - at least the passengers died painlessly and not really knowing what was to happen.
Don’t think that’s Shannon.
Starting in a few minutes
What reason is there for this report to still be unpublished?
It was caused by pilot error?
there was an appeal because the orioginal review board had someone who was attached to CHC. it looks like CHC will ship an awful amount of criticism over the mapping systems and the failure of the Epirbs which meant 2 crew were never recovered.
add to the mix that CHC’s contract is coming to an end and they have retendered for a contract worth over 50m per annum and its a shitshow
a lot of people would be very happy to try and blame this on the “woman driver” but the terrain mapping didnt have blacksod on it which may have a huge bearing on the crew not seeing it until too late
The AAIU issued a preliminary report and a series of interim reports, and a final draft was given to families and stakeholders in late 2019, with a 60-day period for submissions. However, its publication was put on hold by a request in January last year by an unidentified stakeholder for a review
Is it known who made that appeal?
“RTÉ understands that CHC made a detailed submission to the AAIU about its draft report. The company did not say if it was the entity that demanded the review.”
the other point about the review is that shane ross could have told them to fuck off and publish the reort, so a lot of blame lies with him
There presumably is something in there that Ross didn’t like having to be in front of?
youre right, he would absolutely be amongst those i mentioned
It would Art to mention. Unbelievable.
by the looks of it it will be fairly damning for CHC and it would fuck up their chances of getting the contract again.
good summary here
