Any causes other than usual loss of habitat given? You’d imagine with the amount of foxes about these days, it could be impacting the pine marten numbers?
Swifts like to nest high up outside under eaves. Swallows nest indoors in barns. Of course people don’t like this. You can buy a swift nesting box but I’ve never seen one in reality.
It’s lack of insects also…
