Here’s the current bottom shelf

You could put a shower in there, Rocko.

Offer to do the laundry and get your missus to go to the builders providers

Get a lad to tile the back wall, he’ll put down timber for you then. Simples.

Good point. It looks like shit.

I was just going to paint the back wall. It will be in a press. I don’t care what it looks like.

You may scrub the floor of it as well @rocko. It’s manky.

Will this be used for keeping a brush/mop/ironing board @Rocko ? If not iI’d get 3/4 shelf boards and devide it up maximising it’s usability. Even if it iis for storing these items I’d get 2 shelf boards and give yourself an extra bit of shelving above or below the brush/mop area.

1 of these under each corner of each shelf would do the job fine

Yeah I intend it to store brushes. So the latter is the preference. But first task is to floor it.

Rocko, take the internal dimensions and then go to the Panelling Centre in Santry. They will sort you out. They would probably cut anything you want to your required size.
Standard kitchen floor units are 600mm wide, don’t be afraid of using metric.

Thanks. I’m in B&Q now though. It’s a narrow unit so it’s 55mm. I actually forgot to measure before I came out but I think the depth is the same.

:joy:

It’s cut now!

Should you not tell him to ensure he has the right tools and fixtures to do the job before he leaves the store?

I’m an independent observer here.

I can’t help feeling the old adage previously alluded to by Boxty of measure twice, cut once will still be borne out here

Perhaps, but if so, better to be looking at it that looking for it at least.
