The atmosphere doesn’t seem that great considering it’s a Belfast show.

Perez starting to outwork McCloskey now. He’s lucky your man doesn’t have a lot of power in his shots.

Great recovery from a dodgy 8th round by McCloskey. Outclassed Perez in the 9th and 10th.

Is the Ricky Burns fight on Sky?

It’s on Boxnation

Great atmosphere for the Burns fight. Good scrap so far as well.

Devastating from Burns.

Burns stops Mitchell in the 4th after two knockdowns. Great fight while it lasted.

Very impressive from Frampton

Only saw the end of it but it looked like he destroyed Molitor. The toughest division in the boxing by a distance though, will be hard to get a belt but he might get some big names.

Took him apart from round 1. He’ll get a huge pay day next I’d imagine.

Hearn talking about a fight for the IBF title next year for Frampton. Current owner: Nonito Donaire.

Might be getting ahead of himself there.

Did nit see last night but he is a class act. Barry seems to be doing well by him anyway. Hr admitted going pro because of the weight change in the Olympics ad having to fight JJN in Ireland.

Speaking of John Joe, he’s expected to turn pro in next few days.

Decent performance from McCloskey. He’s always been quite fleshy and I wonder if his conditioning could be notably improved.

Frampton could do alright if they bide their time with him. At the moment, Nishioka and Donaire (who fight each other next month), Rigondeaux, and Mares are all at the top of the division and are all of serious quality. Beneath that you have guys like Shimoda, Poonsawat, Ramos, and Mathebula. and then you have veterans like Marquez (JMM’s brother), Darchinyan, and Montiel who might have their best days behind him.

This means that belts will be very hard to come by, but big names that will sell tickets in Belfast won’t be. I don’t know how good Frampton is but there will definitely be opportunities there for him if he’s up to it.

It would take a fairly dramatic improvement mate. Average power, poor defence, and suspect chin do not a world champion make.

But he’s from Ulster, he must be awesome. He’s surely been robbed of a decision or two as well considering the way Ulster people get so fucked by officialdom.

Hatton is set to fight Senchenko in Manchester on the 24th of November.
