Signing with Sauerland apparently which is a bit of a strange one. Abraham, Kessler, Povetkin, and Huck would be their best known fighters and they’re all super middleweights or above. Hope it works out for him anyway.

John Joe Nevin has signed with Amir Khan Promotions. :o

Can’t imagine this will be a long lived business relationship. Probably better than Sauerland though. He should get on the undercard of some of Khan’s UK comeback fights, and if he looks good maybe Golden Boy will take a shine to him.

Be interesting to see how Nevin does, he has a lovely style to him - will be interesting to see how his power and chin hold up in pro boxing.

Mike Tyson showed up to his gig in Thomand Park tonight against all expectations.

There was a big story in the papers earlier in the week about Amir Khan and his brother supposedly fighting off six carjackers who tried to rob Khan’s range rover.

The story sounded a bit far-fetched, and these lads claiming to be the carjackers have posted this rather amusing clip today, claiming to tell the truth about what actually happened.

Khan’s brother has admitted on twitter that the stuff your man’s holding up actually is their’s

Thats fuckin gas

Some night of boxing on HBO tomorrow, biggest night of the year really. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if we get the fight of the year.

Links for the fights should be available here tonight - http://www.thefirstr…ng-wwe-ufc.html

Or here - http://www.xmeforums.to/forums/ - if you want to pay a small fee for a high quality stream.

The first big fight of the night features Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios versus Mike Alvarado in the 140lb division. Both are undefeated, both have 70% KO rates, and both are regarded as arguably the most entertaining brawlers in the sport. It’s about as guaranteed a war as you can get in boxing. Arum has already said that superfights will await the winner, with Pacquiao’s name in the mix for early next year.

The second fight is probably the most eagerly anticipated match-up of the year, in the highest quality division in the sport at the moment. Nonito Donaire has been rated in the top five P4P rankings for the last three or four years, with him often being ranked just behind Mayweather and Pacquiao in that time. He’s been considered by many as the rightful heir to Pacquiao’s super-stardom, primarily because he has twice in the last four years produced devastating knockouts that both won the Ring Magazine’s 'konockout of the year.

The first was against the rampaging, seemingly invincible and undefeated Vic Darchinyan:

The second was against Bantamweight WBO and WBC champion and knockout artist Fernando Montiel:

Donaire’s opponent is the undisputed king of the division, Japan’s Toshiaki Nishioka. Nishioka is on a 16 fight winning streak, and is undefeated since 2004. His last outing was a hugely impressive defeat of two time world champion Rafael Marquez, brother of the legendary Juan Manuel. Nishioka has serious speed and huge power in his left hand, and is definitely the most dangerous fighter Donaire has ever faced.

It will either be another huge landmark in the rise of Nonito Donaire to global stardom, moving him above his countryman Manny Pacquiao in the Pound for Pound Rankings, or an incredible last chapter in the hall of fame career of Toshiaki Nishioka. It’s going to be a night for the ages whatever way it goes.

I see fraudley harrison was battered within two minutes by David Price, who looks like a half decent prospect from what Ive seen of him.
That should be the last of harrison at least.

Gay lover Tony Bellew.

That Tony Bellew has to be the most annoying prick in boxing after Khan.

Hell of a fight alright. As usual Rios looked gassed and in trouble, and as usual he came back and knocked his guy out. Alvarado looked good but outboxing Rios isn’t much of an achievement really, knocking the mad cunt out is what would get people’s respect. Arum said again that Rios could fight Pacquiao next. If JMM could beat him in December I’d love to see him fight Rios. Would be brilliant to see him take Rios apart like he dismantled Baby Bull before hanging them up for good.

Nishioka didn’t bring much in the main event. Looked like a great tactical battle was in store early on, but as the rounds passed it was clear he was afraid of Donaire’s power. On the couple of occasions he tried to exchange he got dropped so it turned out he was right. Donaire will probably have to go to featherweight to find someone who will trade with him. All his opponents at this level are just in there to survive against him.

Kell Brook fighting on Sky tonight. Coverage started 5 mins ago.

Erik Morales fighting Danny Garcia (who recently separated Amir Khan from his belts and senses) later, fight’s in New York so it’ll be on relatively early. Good undercard as well with Paulie Malignaggi and Devon Alexander both fighting.

Sky boxing is fucking sickening at times. The McDonnell guy matched against a small flyweight here and they’re blowing shite about how well McDonnell is taking his shots and dominating him. This is what makes it so enjoyable when some hardy Mexican knocks these hype jobs out.

Well that was a fuckin fix nobody gets stopped with a jab ffs

Some tomato can they got for Brook this time. Laughable. How do they keep getting mugs to fill out an arena for this shit?
