This was confirmed a few hours ago. Crazy how fast he went. He was still working the corner in big fights a few months ago. He’s a huge loss to boxing, he was genuine class in a sport that doesn’t have much of it.

Boxing great Carmen Basilio died aged 85 today. Most famous for beating Sugar Ray Robinson for the Middleweight Championship of the World, and for telling the Mob to go fuck themselves when they tried to take over his career.
Vladimir beating Wach by a distance at the moment but the Pole won’t go down. Round 8 was brutally one sided, couldn’t believe the ref didn’t stop it.

Kell Brook will fight Devon Alexander for welterweight IBF title on Jan 19th. Alexander is fairly mediocre by world standards but it’s still a step up for Brook. Decent chance of a Khan-Brook fight happening at some stage if Brook wins.
Yet another impressive performance in the SBW division on Saturday night, with Abner Mares beating slickster Anselmo Moreno in an entertaining fight. Mares is now the primary challenger for Donaire’s crown as king of the division and is arguably one of the top ten fighters in the world himself. He’s also got the coolest ring walk gear since B-hop.

Mares is a dirty slimebag of a fighter. Donaire will need serious balls protection if he takes on the fight
