Brexit a dó

They exist in a bubble that was blown over 50 years ago. They are out of touch with their own people not to mention the greater world. Their are normal Joe soap protestants now actively questioning why there shouldn’t be a united Ireland. The Republic for all its faults has been a progressive nation for 2 or 3 generations now whereas the staunch orange order hard unionists for the most part have turned inwards and operate in a cocooned sub state of bitter self delusion. Paisley had one thing and that was charisma, since him they’ve been marshalled by one justin barret after the next.

It will hurt them more not that they were betrayed by Boris but that they were completely outfoxed by an openly gay Taoiseach. If Brexit has achieved nothing else it has exposed this bitter anachronistic vile excuse for a political force for the hateful and backward joke of a party that they are

They weren’t betrayed though. They were just too stupid to see the way the wind was blowing.

They were useful until they no longer were useful.

The massive error was campaigning for Brexit in the first place. I presume they thought they would steal a march on Dublin and harden up a border, thereby consolidating the Union. However, since that they’ve been on the back-foot.

That decision was the original sin of the mess they find themselves in.

Who wrote that @Lazarus

They have no other reason to exist as a political entity.

If Boris loses this by 6 or less SF will be blamed by FG/FG. They are fucked anyway in the south, this rightly or wrongly will destroy them.

Pearse Doherty and Matt Carthy will be left to rebuild a broken party. John O’Dowd has attempted to start this in the north.

Super Saturday is going to be a complete anti-climax all round, isnt it

The vote won’t happen

SNP’s are the fly in the ointment now.

Dodds making an old lady fall asleep.

He’s saying PLEASE reconsider.

He’s tying himself in knots with all these promises

He’s speaking not just out both sides of his mouth but out of his nose, ears, and arse

If this vote doesn’t happen today, it could undo him

Because he’s turning this deal into one big meaningless blancmange
