Out with it you bollox
Settle down Mike. If you’re full of rage tomorrow you won’t enjoy the carvery in the Whitford.
I couldn’t possibly
It went something like this Mike…
@labane1917 made the claim that the famine was the Irish holocaust, citing the definition “a mass slaughter or reckless destruction of life”
@Sidney was outraged and said there was no famine, nobody died.
@Lazarus arose from the dead and brought @anon61878697 with him
@Malarkey knocked @Sidney out with a vicious literary uppercut
@Sidney hasn’t woken up yet, all is calm on the western seaboard.
It was like a group of vultures descending on Dwight Schrute. Dwight Schrute being Sid of course.
Are you sure you didn’t claim it was genocide and use a wrong definition of genocide the way you always make things up because you haven’t a clue?
Oh look who’s here, @Sidney’s sidekick who hid other the bed yesterday when he was most needed.
Genocide is a modern term which only came into common usage after WWII. The word genocide means to kill a race or tribe. Here’s the definition according to the UN “any act or acts committed to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group”.
My opinion is the Irish famine in the mid 19th century meets this definition, although I understand the reluctance to apply a modern term retrospectively, and the reluctance of many if not most Irish people today to accuse their neighbor of such an act or acts.
If you want to argue please take it up with myself and others on the It’s warm up north thread.
This from the simpleton who has to fire around PMs to numerous other forum simpletons to get them to act like four year olds on the thread for some moral support because he couldn’t argue his way out of a paper bag.
Your opinion means sod all, which you now seem to accept. The only opinions which matter are those of actual professional historians who have studied the famine in depth, and they disagree with you - which is entirely unsurprising, given that you believe in your own made up, fake history, rather than actual history.
Other than the Nogra army council, I don’t PM anyone on this forum.
The two posters who handed you your ass yesterday were @anon61878697 and @Malarkey. The fact you call them simpletons demonstrates conclusively how delusional you are.
Your claim to authority on historians is interesting, given that it was shown by someone actually knowledgeable on the subject that you were appealing to the wrong historians
The bottom line is you only care about the use of a word, the millions who starved to death and were forced to emigrate isn’t that much of a concern as they were rural Irish. Pathetic.
Your still really angry that I destroyed you, aren’t you?
Sitting there at your computer in Nebaska, in your MAGA hat, with your fat belly hanging over your legs, foaming at the mouth that your fake version of history was demolished.
You’re an utter joke, mate.
it was rape
Do you know what mens rea is?
Yes. Outline your argument as to why it is relevant to a discussion on the Irish famine, in the relevant thread.
There, there mate, it’s only a mild concussion, you’ll be OK in a few days.
He’s a great fan of using latin terms he hasn’t a clue of the meaning of.
Nah. He was asking for it.
Stop talking about genocide. You don’t understand the word.
Deary me. As I said on the Venezuela thread the other evening, you badly need to get some new material, because you’re making an even bigger fool of yourself now than you usually do.
Your gormless simpleton buddy @glenshane attempting to bail you out isn’t doing you any favours either.
