Isn’t the issue of an Irish border a major sticking point? How do the EU plan to enforce a hard border if there is one? A physical barrier (wall, fence, whatever you want to call it)? Checkpoints? Troops? Drones?
Haven’t a Scooby. No one in Ireland will be working/manning it.
So the EU are going to do what the Brits couldn’t do for almost a century.
I think I read recently that there was some survey done and the number of border crossings was updated by a few hundred, from 300 to 500 (roughly). Nobody even knew how many border crossings there are.
I’m sure the Germans will figure it out.

Just for your education, “wall” is a metaphor for barrier. Trump has admitted such, he has clarified that what he wants is to finish the fencing that was started in 2005 and never finished.
Hard borders are hard to enforce, especially if those on both sides don’t want it.
I doubt it mate, a hard border would be impossible to enforce.

You think those are the only two outcomes likely? More likely they take the deal or stay in the EU than either of the above in my opinion.
Elvis’s line was that the EU are inflicting a border on us, and are being duplicitous. That’s not the case.
I’m saying these are the two options they are presenting to the EU.
