BREXIT thread

Your crudely reductionist argument is noted

There are some women who voted against their own bodily autonomy

There are some black people who voted for a party which wants to screw their rights

There were some Jews that voted for the Nazis

This is a rare occasion when your frequently used crude rhetorical device is actually appropriate - if indeed you are a worker, you are a self-hating worker

Funny that the only time I ever remember you using that crude rhetorical device was when you were complaining about white people not advocating white supremacy

A very weird and worrying instance in which to invoke such rhetoric

Would you stop, it’s a ludicrous position.

You drink the cool aid on him too much. It’s a total farce.

And we all know Corbyn was happy enough with May’s Deal. It’s fine and dandy that he played politics on it then I accept. He needed to keep his party united and it helped further send the Tories down the rabbit hole, but this “damaging Tory Brexit” is total shite. He is a Brexiteer who is happy enough with a Customs Union and an end to FOM, which May was providing in all but name. He says he can negotiate a better deal, it’s just delusion.

Sounds like a high level politician, who is this guy?

Yeah he’s killing it in the polls alright.

Because the polls predicted the last few elections didn’t they?:rofl:

Foot was a worse leader.

As a leader, Callaghan wanted to do the right things to get Britain back on course. He knew the economic policies of the 50s-70s were a dead duck from his time in Treasury and wanted to adjust. He might have succeeded too, and kept out Thatcher, if it wasn’t for an ill timed overseas trip to the sun during the winter of discontent.

Foot was more intelligent than both Callaghan and Corbyn (who is an idiot) but weak, unkempt, a poor campaigner and overall unelectable. In fairness, at least Corbyn is decent on the campaign trail, when he wants to be of course. He went missing during the 2016 campaign. I love how apparently he said to Cameron after refusing to appear at events with former PMs and leaders on Europe that he was willing to go to Turkey to make a speech. To fucking Turkey, you couldn’t make it up.

How many elections has Comrade Corbyn won then?

Chaps, even one of the brains behind the operation sees the writing on the wall. You can follow all the #JC4PM accounts you like you the guy is a total shitshow and his Brexit position is a nonsense.

He might sneak in as leader of a Coalition…this is the guy who leads one of the two natural parties of Government. Labour should be coasting to an election victory next time out.

That would be why he opposed it and voted it against three times

But maybe the dogs on the street know better

Saying something is ludicrous without saying why is not an argument

Corbyn wouldn’t be negotiating with red lines

That’s what Theresa May did of her own choice, and I’m sure I recall that you were vocal against the stupidity of doing that, ie. the logical corollary of that is that you believe a better deal could have been negotiated had those red lines not been in place

And I know that a “better deal”, for you as for me, means anywhere from closer alignment with the EU to BRINO

So Corbyn has every chance of getting something better than May, because it would suit both him and the EU

Question:

You say you support the Liberal Democrats - do you support the unilateral revocation of Article 50?

I see you’ve changed your angle from he’s doing shit in the polls to how many elections has he won then? Thats cute. As it happens Labour under Corbyn were the ackowledged real winners of the last general election in the UK. Tories thought they’d have a handy majority but had to cobble a deal together with the DUP. Look how thats worked out for them

Lovely stuff

David Cameron snuck in as leader of a coalition after 13 years of Labour and 20 months after the global financial crash

I presume that meant Cameron was unelectable

Yes winners alright. In Downing Street are they?

“We did better than expected” trophy for the lads.

There there bro. You tried your best

What does that mean?

It was acknowledged at the time that this was as a poor result for him.

What will happen with Corbyn? He sneaks in a coalition with the Lib Dems and SNP.

What policies can he enact? Ban private schools like they want? Good looks with the Lib Dems there. Still pretend to be both for Leave and Remain and “keep the North happy”. Best of luck too.

No I did Jez did. He did try very hard after May’s disaster of a campaign.

Still lost.

:joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

It means whatever you meant in your previous post, as it’s a direct comparison to the possibility you are floating

You say Corbyn is “unelectable”

Cameron had a slam dunk in 2010 and could only get 306 seats

I presume that means you think Cameron was “unelectable”, at least if you’re to hold him to the same standard as Corbyn

The Tory narrative was that he was Mr. Electability

Every coalition government faces such issues, do you think they’re exclusive to Corbyn? You may not have noticed but Ireland has had such governments more often than not

The Lib Dems say they will do that if they win a majority. What’s wrong with that position?

You don’t understand May’s deal and clearly don’t understand wtf the EU is about. May’s Deal was effectively a CU and ending FOM. A CU would still be shit for the UK long term. The UK needs to be at the table making rules. There is no “better deal than the EU” that Corbyn claims.

It’s polarizing and playing to the mob. Lib Dems are just UKIP in reverse
