Understood. But look at it this way. 200 notes for the dream box. In fairness you might have to shell out a few bob for boosters depending on where your modem is. 8 yoyoso a month for service.
I thought like you. But realised if it didn’t work out I could always revert back. Taking out the initial cost, I will have saved 700 notes by next March

I have the Eir service. If I had my time back i’d have stuck with the Sky tv box as it is a bit more user friendly and the Eir buffers a little the odd time. Outside the TV, the service is same as any other. You get all the BT channels free too. I presume you’d just access them on the sky box as normal.

Anyone in the Dublin area have Eir? It says on their site that I can get 100mb plus all the channels for 35 per month. That’s 40 less per month than what I’m paying now. Does anybody know if the free channels work with the Sky box?
Read the small print. That’s either a 3 or a six month offer. Price doubles after that

No, this works via satellite. Exact same as Sky.
You do need an internet connection so it can pull down codes, but anything over 2MB would be fine.
Does it have Sky Sports and BT? What are the drawbacks?
It has every single channel, including pay per view.
Only drawback is you don’t get to fork over €80 a month to support Rupert Murdochs empire.

You need a broadband connection.
The plug can be pulled by Sky or the box provider at any time. No comeback. But we’re saying that now for years in fairness.
