Apparently Land Rover make the most accomplished and stylish - Discovery and Range Rover. They could break you in repair costs though, let alone running them.

The Landcruiser and the Pajero are the best to own long term I’d imagine.

An old Landcruiser could probably be bought hand enough, especially if its a passenger version.

Brake pads probably worn. Best checked, brakes be serious.

Acceleration over thirty or forty metres is remarkable - presumably to 20 or 30km/h - quick enough that it would catch a pedestrian unawares

Does the salesman have a target to meet?

Is the car you are buying a yellow 3.0 petrol convertible?

I purchased a car in Janruary, the asking price was €29995. After shopping about for better quotes, I returned to the original dealer who after tapping furiously on his calculator for 5 minutes reduced the price to €27250. The list Price of the car was €30500.

Do the math thereafter.
